Our review of Lucid
Overview
Lucid runs three parallel tracks — instant-funding called (LucidDirect), a standard evaluation (LucidPro), and a cheaper evaluation with a strict consistency rule (LucidFlex) — all built around end-of-day trailing drawdown and a 90% profit split. Pricing is one-time rather than billing you monthly.
Who it's for
Lucid fits traders who want EOD drawdown rather than intraday trailing, prefer to pay once instead of monthly, and trade futures. The 90% split across all three products favors traders confident enough in their edge and want to pay an upfront fee.
It doesn't fit traders who want size beyond 10 mini contracts; even the $150K tier caps at 10 minis / 100 micros. Scalpers should look hard at LucidFlex's 50% consistency rule before buying — more on that below.
Standout features
- EOD drawdown across all three products. Drawdown is calculated on closing balance, not intraday equity, which gives more room to manage open trades without hitting the threshold.
- 90% profit split on every tier and every product, including the instant-funding LucidDirect track.
- No consistency rule on LucidPro evaluations (0%), and no consistency rule on LucidDirect during the eval phase. Funded LucidDirect accounts move to a 20% consistency rule.
- One-time pricing with no activation fees. A $50K LucidPro is $185 all-in; a $100K LucidPro is $285. LucidFlex undercuts that further at $140 and $225 respectively. These prices are without a discount, and may change from time to time.
- Low minimum trading days. LucidPro requires just 1 day to clear the profit target; LucidDirect requires 5.
- Trustpilot shows 4.7 across 3,000 reviews, but that is not a substitute for verified withdrawals.
Watch-outs
- LucidFlex carries a 50% consistency rule during evaluation. That means no single day can exceed 50% of total profit — a meaningful constraint for anyone who tends to hit the target in one or two strong sessions. The cheaper fee comes with this string attached.
Bottom line
Lucid is worth evaluating if you want EOD drawdown, a 90% split, and one-time pricing on the standard futures contracts. LucidPro is the cleanest offering: no consistency rule during eval, a 1-day minimum, and fees that are competitive without being suspiciously cheap. LucidFlex makes sense only at the $25K–$100K tiers, and only if your P&L is naturally distributed across multiple days. LucidDirect is the pick for traders who want to skip the eval entirely and accept the 20% funded consistency rule as the tradeoff. A great overall prop firm and is very popular in the prop firm space.
Products & rules
Each product has its own rules — drawdown, payouts, and consistency vary by product.
